Zeus trojan's low detecting rate......
« on: September 21, 2009, 12:06:54 AM »
Hi malware fighters,

"As a recent hyped article claimed ZEUS frequently bypasses popular antivirus and internet security suites.
See: http://www.trusteer.com/news-release-17
For an in-depth analysis of this Banking-Trojan:
Re: http://blog.threatexpert.com/2009/09/time-to-revisit-zeus-almighty.html
The criminals are careful to infect just a few PCs with each copy of the Trojan, thereby avoiding detection by honepots/nets and subsequent researcher attention in security labs. By the time each copy of a ZEUS Trojan is identified by security researchers it's job is done and a new fresh version will be dispatched to takeover its role"

Hi malware fighters,

The Zeus banking trojan has made the headlines again with this news: http://voices.washingtonpost.com/securityfix/2009/10/zeus_trojan_turns_smash_grab_i.html

In this case of an important cash transaction (as here with the church PC) Zeus has a so-called KOS command to either ruin the hacked computer in question (effect is BSOD) or ruin the botnet infrastructure in case of a successful anti-bot action,
