Not recognizing a trojan
« on: September 29, 2009, 08:57:32 PM »
Hi to everyone!

It looks that Avast does not recognize a trojan, called RATIBE by Web Doctor, as a trojan.
The malicious program is not self executing however when open  replicates inself under existing folder names on the hard drives.
Some of the created folders are non deletable from within the operational system...
Any comment from Avast will be appreciated.

Thanks for reporting this.
Please upload the file to www.virustotal.org and post the URL of the scan report back here.
(It's a multi-online scanner..should take ~3min to scan it.)

As nmb asks, please email either from the chest, or to virus@avast.com If you choose the second method, zip the file and password protect it, include the passwrd in the body of the email, and perhaps the URL of this thread, much appreciated.
