Cant manually scan selected files/folders with Avast

When i scan a specific folder by right clicking and scan with avast a message pops out saying:-

Error: During open ATL dialog. Error number: -1   ??? :(

What could be the problem....Do help me to fix it...Appreciating all help and thanks in advance  ::)
