Avast updates crashing
« on: October 06, 2009, 09:50:20 PM »
Dear Forum,

Is anybody else experiencing weird updates? They have been really running slowly or not at all for me for the last 4 hours!

I'm using Avast Pro 4.8.1356 and updating manually with 'program update'.

After many 'failure to reach server' and 'connection terminated' it is now downloading a 29,189,120 bytes file.

File is: vps-9100500.vpu

I am worried!! :O

Thanks!

PS: My computer time and date are set correctly.

Update:

The 29 MB file downloaded, installed.

I hit reload on the manual update and now it says it's updated to VPS 091006-0.

Avast's main website says the latest update is 091005-0. http://www.avast.com/

WTF is going on? :S

Website often lags. Update happens befor the site gets updated.
