How to keep this Omniture tracking code at bay?
« on: October 11, 2009, 11:43:42 PM »
Hi malware fighters,

There is sneaky tracking code that can be implemented on multitude sites at once, and was detected by ghostery extension in Firefox:

http://blogs.omniture.com/2009/06/08/managing-implementation-on-multiple-sites/

How to keep this at bay with NoScript/abe in Firefox read this:

http://forums.informaction.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=2837&p=11635#p11635

Consider if Omniture could do this. What about the malcreants' multituding capabilities?
Be afraid, folks, be very afraid,

Use NoScript, a limited user account and a virtual machine and be safe(r)!

Hi folks,

Quote
This may have opened another "can of worms", as I have found the same (or very similar) code on other sites, authors of which are less than obvious with concealing the "Omniture" script.
