Unresponsive script in Fx or Flock...
« on: October 13, 2009, 10:40:12 PM »
Hi malware fighters,

I had a problem with an unresponsive script on a download in my Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.3a1pre) Gecko/20090929 Minefield/3.7a1pre ID:20090929160423 in modules/XPCCMUtils.jsm on line 306 and this halted the download until I allowed the script to run.
This can be fixed in the usual way for unresponsive scripts, where one need to access the hidden configuration page in Firefox. Give in about:config in the address bar and in the 'Filter' box, type dom.max_script_run_time. This will narrow the options till only the dom.max_script_run_time option remains. Right-click it and choose Modify. A box pops up. Change the number to something bigger like 20. This is the maximum time a script can run before Firefox considers it 'unresponsive', just liked to pass that on for the Fx users here,
