That FAQ is probably out of date.

On the UI of Immunet it says ... avast! antivirus is also running.

The FAQ is out of date but avast! V5 beta is not recognized and I am not about to email their support to ask for V5 inclusion until it is officially released.

I'll try it on my XP Pro system shortly.

Yeah, I suppose that would be true of V5 since it is still a beta and not yet officially released.

I'm running Windows 7 and it's recognizing avast!   But I've stopped using MSE.
I think Immune Protect only lists one AV so if your running more than one, the second one doesn't show up.

Hi Tech and bob3160.

With Immunet Protect can opt to allow it monitor application installation and the application that will start. You also have the option to be notified on events (cloud notifications). The active protection of Immunet will prevent you to install any software unless it is determined as safe. This is useful nowadays because many are victim of Trojan downloader that automatically installs files and there are many rogue programs pushed aggressively.

The program let you run a Flashscan to check if any malware exists as running process or in the registry. It’s a very quick scanning by Immunet. The UI provides easy access to Summary, History, Scan and Settings. There is also an option sending Invites to your friend to start using Immunet. You will need to create a free registration though to start sending an invitation.

Its protection is visible in system tray and will notify you of any files have been installed and if any application has started.

Avast 5 will also have a sort of  "in the cloud" protection from collective avast user interaction with the av-solution's base, but if you want the additional community (various av solutions) protection you can have this free in the cloud av  next to avast resident av. Just testing this to see how this new concept will work, it has just been started since September last,

Thanks Polonus... not yet self-confident that I need a cloud protection.
I test any gray setup on virustotal and judge the results.

Is Immunet Protect good enough to run alone without avast!?

Does Immunet Protect have antispyware protection?

No as it is not as effective as avast!

Read polonus' comments.

Its too new to say whether its anti-spyware protection is any good.

I would say that the combination of avast! anti virus and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (MBAM) is hard to beat.

From what I have read, we can't choose what to do if IP catches something, like put it in quarantine. ::)

So, I've ditched it.

Hi rdmalloy,

This is a half truth, When a file is convicted and placed in Quarantine it is possible to reverse the conviction and have the file placed back onto your file system.
If you for instance seen through virustotals that it is a FP, In order to reverse this conviction and to restore the file to it's original location you simply need to press the Restore Button,
