Thanks for Eda for posting an offical statement from alwil software on the subject. Nice to hear from you again. I just got an email back from the sales department saying the same thing. I'm asking for either a student ID, enrollment form, or a recent transcript within six months as proof they are a stuident. Hope this helps. Send any questions to v1ru5sales@v1ru5help.org. 1. upgrades to avast! 4.5, even 5 etc. - included for free?

see http://www.avast.com/i_kat_232.html

We offer to our customers to choose the length of the maintenance contract (AVS service) of 1, 2 or 3 years. During this period customer will receive all updates of virus database and upgrades of purchased program for free automaticaly. In price list you will find three columns titled 1, 2 or 3 years.

2. senior discount?

There can be discounts for everybody, there're volume discounts, there can be a special holiday discount etc., maybe it'll be great to combine all discounts and of course the free software will be the best...
But the software development is very expensive hobby and there should be great number of paying customers to "sponzor" it. We believe that our price lists are competitive and the price/performance ratio is one of the best in the industry.
Simply there is no "senior" discount and we aren't going to introduce it, sorry. And it's the case of other possible "discounts" too, don't ask for them, please.

Hey Shgoh,

It's radicalb21. Nice to talk to you again. This is what I am requiring from a reseller standpoint. I'm asking for either a student ID, enrollment form, or a recent transcript within six months as proof they are a student. Hope this helps. Send any questions to v1ru5sales@v1ru5help.org. You can contact me through my profile via email or IM or through my website www.v1ru5help.org. Hope this helps. You may also read what Eda wrote on page one of this thread about doing it through the online store and through reseller.
