HELP! Avast Home Edition Causing Problems!

I have had problems with Avast Home edition not working since I had an update from Nokia PC Suite. I get an error message that components are missing and to re-install. However when I try to un-install or re-install, I get error message saying the avast consent dialog helper has stopped working and that there was an error during the un-installation or installation. I tried doing a System Restore but that hasn't worked either. I've also tried to delete the Avast files manually and access to delete the files is denied. I have no idea what to do next and desperately need help!

I too am having a problem. there is a red dot \
and AAVM subsystem detected a RPC error.

I've deleted - restarted - reinstalled - about 10 times now and it doesn't work?

I've gone to several other sites and this seems to be a huge problem.

any answers?

I'm having allot of problems uninstalling and installing avast. I've downloaded from your website.
tried about 10 different times. And still get an error

bmirtle are you using the server edition? if not, this is not the correct forum.
I suggest an installation from the scratch:

1. Download the latest version of avast! Uninstall Utility and save it.
2. Download the latest avast! version and save it.
3. Uninstall avast from Control Panel (if possible). If, for any reason, you can't run it, try booting in Safe Mode and doing it from there. Anyway, boot after that.
4. Run the avast! Uninstall Utility saved on 1. If, for any reason, you can't run it, try booting in Safe Mode and doing it from there. Anyway, boot after you've run it.
5. Install avast! using the setup saved on 2. It will be good to accept the boot time scanning. Boot.
6. Check and post the results.
