avast! 4.8 support after 5 released?

I was wondering how long there will be definitions for 4.8 available after 5 is released.

V4.x will be supported at least till mid-2010.

Am I wrong in assuming 4.8 will be automatically updated to 5 when released for those on subscription?
Or is 5.0 already out?

No, the program will not be updated automatically (though some kind of announcement that a new version is available most likely appears sooner or later).
Or are you asking about licenses?
