Avast avoid password protection of Outlook Express
« on: June 17, 2003, 06:38:37 PM »
Too Bad, I've two different identities in Outlook Express, but since I installed avast, Outlook express doesn't ask me for the password I setted for the main account : it opens normaly.
And I don't want it because someone else uses my computer too !
How to prevent this problem ?
Thanks for your help.

What happens if you reset the password in OE? I.e. set the password again?

I also have two identities, one password protected, and this works fine for me under Avast! 4HE.

So there is a way around your problem  :)  Hope you find it  ;D

I don't think it's a problem of mine because it happends immediatly after the installation of avast 4.
Second, I tried (of course), to change the password used by the main identity and it's still the same !
It's definitly not secure...
