I currently have the Avast free home. I am getting a new computer. Can I install home free on the new one and still use avast on the old one also. Also, I assume home free is compatable with the new Windows 7. thank you

Thank you. One more ?. I was going to put the old laptop in my shop and it would get only minimal use. I intended to keep my current email address. Any probs there ?

Should not be a problem but you need to set your email client to not delete the email from the host as that is the default.
If you use Hotmail or Gmail it won't be a problem though as they keep the emails within them.
