HOWTO Disable Popup Confirmation For Local Drive Scan?

avast! Professional v4.8.1356
WinXP SP3

I have a scheduled task to scan my local drives, the task is configured to "repair if failed move to chest". However, a confirmation dialog is popping up and waiting for input to act on the failed scan. I expect the full scan to complete without any intervention.

Other than scheduling the task, I have not modified any other settings. How should the expected action be configured?

My question is similar. How can I set Avast to wait until the end of the scan to ask me what to do with
found items? I don't want the app to remove or move anything until I look at exactly what it is.

Unfortunately it isn't similar as the Home version requires interactive input, one of the restrictions of the free version. This will change in avast 5.0.

In the Home version you can check the option "Don't show this window again" when the first virus warning appears, select the "No action" button. This way, no action will be taken and you will given the results at the end of the scan (and you can perform actions from there). Over time this will become less of an issue, as the resident, on-access scanners are designed to intercept infection before it gets into your system.
 
- There was one suggestion to place something like the eicar virus test file at the start of the first drive to be scanned in a file like ~a-eicar.com that should soon be detected and you can do the option "Don't show this window again" when the first virus warning appears, select the "No action" button. So you should have a list of files waiting your action.

Since I don't use the Pro version I couldn't offer help to the original poster.
