On-Access scanner
« on: November 16, 2009, 06:00:30 PM »
Hi,
I am not sure which shields I need enabled because I don't know what some of them mean (e.g. P2P shield) and also what sensitivity level do they need to be set at? At the moment I have Internet Mail, Network Shield, P2P Shield, Standard Shield and Web Shield enabled all on sensitivity high except for Standard Shield which is on normal.

Generally if you don't know what are relatively common terms, you aren't using the function they are designed to protect.

P2P is 'peer 2 peer' or file sharing, so if you don't use any you can terminate the provider.

The sensitivity slider on the Network Shield doesn't do anything as there is only one level.

Other than that yours match mine, though I don't have P2P enabled.

Thanks for your quick reply. I have now disabled the P2P shield.
