Telling people about the problems with Comodo seems to be of no use.
The same could be said for telling people about the problems with smoking.

But,in time, for the majority, that message has got through.

That's the best we can hope for.

Yes, it is top freeware. You can turn it down,to below free WinPatrol levels of Protection, and aside from the odd update screw up that necessitates a reinstall of Windows, you hear very little from it.

Or,you can crank up the HIPs,and spend 60% of your time answering pop-ups.
Your post does not make sense as you put Telling people about the problems with Comodo seems to be of no use. Then you put But,in time, for the majority, that message has got through. So what one is it the majority or the minority?  I would say due to your first line it is the minority but then you put for the majority so I don't know.

COMODO is last not because it is not as good as MSE or PC Tools on a good day. It's just that COMOMDO is more accident/incident-prone than others.
As the sayiing goes, "When it is good it is very very good but when it is bad it is horrid".

Erm how? I am not having a go I know wanna know what you mean :) FP's or what?

What problems with Comodo? I am using it and it's fine, not unless you are talking about things other then the firewall like most people on here and using it to sully the suite are you?

Of course we're "talking about things other than the firewall". ??? That's the core of dkeats' dilemma.
I might choose COMODO firewall if I was unhappy with Windows Firewall but my fingers are still burning from the last 3 times I used the AV.

@Patrice58,yes Sir,I am talking about problems other than the firewall.

As a matter of fact I am talking about the problems in listed in my post.

Indeed,I am talking about the problems inherent to a suite build around and in support of a classic HIPS.

"It's just that COMOMDO is more accident/incident-prone than others."

Truer word were never spoken.

"Well do tell................................What happened?"
I know THIS happened to a lot of people.

(And I don't thank I even found the best thread on this debacle.)

Its not necessary to go into ethics at all.
But we can,if you want to.

It happened to me as well if you read the post you will see me there talking about their AV but that's another story but in for a penny lets put the whole pound in. Lets go with the ethics now. :)

patrice58:

Thanks,but no. Lets don't.
You know what the issues are,it would just be a rehash at this  point.

I am not going to change my mind, nor more than likely will you.

That only leads to "agree to disagree" or raging flame exchanges.

I don't mind talking about Comodo as believe it or not it's only a AV/suite not life and death :)

Just my opinion,it will start to end when they stop trying to develop 40 or 50 programs at the same time, releasing Beta after Beta, adding new features each time, without fixing the bugs turned up in the last Beta.
They then release a final, that is as buggy as a skid row apartment, and promise it will all be taken care of in the next VERSION.

Your right,just "ones" and "zeros".

I believe that 100 per cent but I do think it's a sad way to go but I guess that's where Melih I guess wants things done yesterday not even today so he can't pay for the time it takes to make his own engine anyway he tired that with the original CAV which was ok but it had less then 1 million deffs and had a form of defence plus built in (it was not defence plus but had the same thing this program is doing this do you want to allow type pain) so he looked at a great product in the market and thought hmmmmm I can have that in about 3 months and not a year hmmmmm but the way he treated Kevin if true shows that he is a out and out c**t!

Since the "M" name has come up,that is probably the worst enemy Comodo has.
Don't most CEO's set in a big office, smoke Havanas, sip single malt, and look at stock tickers?

Get off the late night "Cures They Don't Want You to Know About","Coral Calcium"
type infomercials, the ringmaster theatrics, and just CEO for awhile.

If the other guy,Egeman(?) ever packs it in,they are through.

Egeman is the brains behind the whole outfit your right. When things are done all over the world it must be hard to keep track of who is doing what and if it is done right and all the other madness that must entail.
