The two most dangerous times in flying are take off and landing, I was reducing the risk by 50% ;D
These are the only parts of flying that I really enjoy...  ;D ;D

We seem to have made it past the year 2000 without a hitch even though billions where spent on non existing expected problems.
I'm sure we'll get past 2012 without a hitch. ( Alice didn't get her transplant in 2006 just to be able to watch the end of the world in 2012) :)

I totally agree with your sentiments regarding this nonsense.

My results from the 2012 Lottery are in the image below. Amazing since the Aztec/Mayan cultures have been an interest of mine all my adult life. Click the image to enlarge.

Support for XP security updates won't end until 2014 I believe, so some way to go yet, perhaps Win8 will be ready by then, despite the hype ;D

Upgrade an Xp computer cost more or buy a new laptop cost more?
Because I think my laptop is made in the year 2006.

Upgrading laptops isn't very practical as you are very limited to what can be upgraded, but there is no way I would replace it just because it has XP, which has years of support left.

I would only be considering replacing a system (laptop) if it was no longer capable of doing what I wanted it to do. e.g. not powerful enough for applications I wanted to run, etc.

Yes I saw that on the news. As YoKenny might say 'He's fallen in the water' in his favourite Monty Python sketches.
