AV-Comparatives results form November 2009 are out

Hi everyone,

Just to let you know that the results form Retrospective / Proactive Comparative November 2009 test of AV-Comparatives are out.

avast! did a good job in this test and received advanced+
I wonder how v5 will be performing in this test  ::)

I'd like to see some real action from heuristics. I hope they won't be as dormant as those in some other products where there is a checkbox for "Heuristics", but it doesn't really do much or at least i haven't seen any detection by it.
On the other side there are heuristics like those in NOD32 (at least in the past) spawn countless number of proper heuristic detections.
And Behavior SHield of course, but that is only available for dynamic tests...

Haha yay!!!
Avast did a great job but I think I can't use it anymore unless I format my pc again but I don't have the cd T_T!
I think I've cleaned an important file in my pc and I could enter my pc anymore so I just format it with ubuntu cd and now I'm using that operating system!

It is really different with windows no tools for accelerating my pc really mean!!
But this is better than nothing^^

hey is there an actual webpage at AV Comparatives that shows the darn test results without downloading a pdf file.

You could try Foxit reader, just don't install the ebay shortcut/toolbar during the install. The free version has some limitations, but for just reading of pdf's, it is fine.
It is also a lot smaller and less bloated than the Adobe offering.

thank you i never tried foxit checking it now , hey that is a nice little application there. Avast did great but omg did you see G-DATA incredible.
