Boot Scan Greyed out
« on: November 21, 2009, 10:45:19 PM »
Hi,
I just got a new desktop running windows Vista and when I run avast the "boot scan option" is greyed out. I have read about this issue on older OS.  I have Avast running on my laptop that has vista with no problem. Any ideas?

Hi All.  I just posted this question previously.  Avast is supposed to have 64 bit support so why does it not provide boot scans?  Can I get a boot scan program from Avast.  I did a scan already and caught two bugs...one trojan and one worm I believe it was.  I would like to schedule a boot scan.  Thing is I'm not sure I need it.  I don't use pirated software and I have my boot settings on the one drive.

Thanks

Jones
