Possible virus or False positive?
« on: December 05, 2009, 04:35:11 PM »
I'm using Win XP fully patched on a laptop.

I was still getting virus alarms even after getting the update. So yesterday uninstalled Avast then reinstalled a fresh copy and did a boot scan. No Alarms or problems were found.
Turned laptop on this morning and got these 3 alarms. Both files were put in the virus chest. Then did a scan of K:\AutoRun.inf in the virus chest and got an alarm. K:\ is an external Hard Drive
I have Never gotten an alarm before the troubles started with K:\AutoRun.inf or have any indication of a virus in over a year that I have used Avast Home.
