After scan & restore, why are there files still in the Chest?
« on: December 03, 2009, 08:01:17 PM »
I followed the instructions http://support.avast.com/index.php?languageid=1&group=eng&_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&kbarticleid=376 , no problems, but the files are still in the Chest. Should I delete or what?
Thanks in advance, hope all resolved soon.

Hello luckyvic

a copy of the file will still be in chest. it shouldn't harm. let it be there for a few days. since you have extracted the clean files, everything should work fine. if not come back and post so that we can help you.

thanks

I didn't do the extract option, only scan and restore. (Sorry if I misunderstood).
Thank you for your help.

ok whether it is scan & restore or extract, the copy of the file remains there. you can remove it after a few days, say, after a week.

you are welcome
