trouble at start up

Hi,

Been using avast for nearly 2 years and just lately after boot the avast logo in the task bar has a little red mark on it and boot up is really slow comodo firewall say it is not working and suggest reinstalling.  After checking services which say both AV and firewall should be starting the only thing that seems to work is to remove AV and the everything work fine so I reinstalled AV which works until I register it and 2-3 days later I get the same thing happen. I`m using win xp 32bit.

Are you using the Comodo AV part?
Did you use any other antivirus before avast?
Could it be something inside Comodo that is blocking avast? Something in Defense+?
Any other security software that could interfere?

Hi,

I`m using comodo before defense+ so just simple firewall and avast was the only AV installed but since problem arised have installed avg but IMO I think this is a poor AV.  Also install spybot search and destroy since problem started but this reports back as all is well.

It's good to remove traces of it left behind.

This problem started about 1-2 month ago after 2 weeks or so of removing and reinstalling avast I tryed avg this never had the problem and so thought it was just an update issue with my pc I have since removed avg used the clean tool reinstalled avast and 2-3 days latter same thing happens but only when I register it.

Are your system time and date correct?
Can you get another license key from the site? i.e., register again
