hi...i accidentally deleted my avast resident protection startup in my registry so now i don't know how to turn it on....can anybody help?

Why don't you try uninstalling and reinstalling Avast?

Actually the "Repair" option should do the trick. Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs -> avast! antivirus -> Repair.
