I've used both the '09 and '10 versions of G-Data AV. I really enjoyed using it, EXTREME detection rates. Still a bit heavy but its well worth it in my opinion.

may buy it not sure internet security suite is on special this sunday for 23.96 and its a 15 month license sure wish  i knew what Avast Internet suite will cost tough making a decision without that info. I disposed of G-Data nice GUI ,but its a grinder when it scans my harddrive was sounding like it needed a spritz of WD-40. Ooh lordy that thing was fast scanner but phew it was way too heavy on ram even without scan going  noy my cup of tea.

Just curious,  what does this have to do with avast! or this forum?

is it that so g-data using the same engine as avast? could the connection be that.
Windows 8.1 amd a10-5700 64 bit
12 GB ram 1 tb hard drive. Avast 18, MBAM
