avast! Requires license key re-entered each time open on Ubuntu 9.1 NBR

Sorry, newbie at ubuntu however after installing package, entering key all is good (except for clipped GUI as per another thread) after scan is completed avast! closes. When re opening having to re-enter key and redownload updates. wtf?! Any advice here please

Seems to be maybe crash-related close. Could you please run the avastgui in strace -f, and send us the last few thousands lines?

strace -f avastgui 2>&1 | tail -n 1000000 | gzip -c -9 >strace.gz
send the gzipped thing to cimbal:at:avast.com (let's hope it won't be few megabytes)
