Security Center tells it can't find any virus protection
« on: December 14, 2009, 11:55:17 PM »
Hi everybody. I don't know why my XP Security Center notify as "not found" the Virus protection item. It's been happening these 2 or 3 last days.

I've checked my avast database virus and it's updated. I don't find anything wrong.

Does anybody know what it is happening? Anything to check?

Thanks

gadsy

Yes because it can be flaky at times.

WSC doesn't detect avast! - http://www.microsoft.com/technet/scriptcenter/topics/help/wmi.mspx#EQKAC

Windows XP SP2, SP3 Start, Run, type cmd and click OK from the command prompt type 'rundll32 wbemupgd, RepairWMISetup' without the quotes and enter.
Windows 10 Home 64bit/ Acer Aspire F15/ Intel Core i5 7200U 2.5GHz, 8GB DDR4 memory, 256GB SSD, 1TB HDD/ avast! free 23.4.6062 (build 23.4.8118.762) UI 1.0.762/ Firefox, uBlock Origin, uMatrix/ MailWasher Pro/ Avast! Mobile Security

Sometimes, Windows Security Center stops recognizing your antivirus or firewall... So, check your system time and date and also http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=23457.msg193534#msg193534
