kernel32 aswcz

occasionally I get a maeeage saying kernell32 is trying to access aswcz. Usually I just deny access. I have just found out aswcz is avast software. Should I be allowing this access               Thanks.  Phill

Who's displaying this message, exactly?
Does it really read aswcz -- with no dots in it etc?
