Security Check
« on: June 18, 2004, 01:18:38 PM »
I ran a security check from the Symantec website last night and the results said that i did not have any virus protection but i'm using Avast 4.1 home edition.  Is this the result because Symantec do not recognise avast as a anti-virus product?

If you ask many on this forum (not employed by Alwil), we don't recognise Symantic as an anti-virus product  ;)

The link Vlk gives you explains why Symantic they would say it.

You will also see such behavior if you install Zone Alarm.
One of its functions is AntiVirus Monitor which most often does not show the presence of Avast!
