Hi RejZoR,

thx for the info..

do you know if this Onlinescanner also uses 3 scan-engines like the Offline one (KAV, F-Prot & ??)

P.S.: it doesn't seem to scan archives.. :(

P.P.S: obviously not KAV engine/sigs.. detects a lot less than Escan/KAV

As far as i know F-Secure uses its own F-Secure engine and Libra/Orion which are pure heuristic engines. Never heard F-Secure uses KAV... But i haven't tested it so i can't tell much for now.

Whocares the online scanner uses the Following engines:

Libria (F-Prot)
KAV
Orion (pure herustics)

exact same lineup as the stand alone product

then the rather poor detection must be due to
- missing x-files detection and/or
- no archive scanning..

Just got reply back from them. said an update will be released on monday. It will update the F-Prot engine (they call it Libria)
