Hi I have one question. What is better? McAfee Site Advisor or AVG link scanner. Both of them is free.

SiteAdvisor is a tad out of date, and I experienced slow-downs with AVG LinkScanner.

A better combo would be WOT + Browser Defender + Finjan, for Firefox. I am not sure about Internet Explorer.

Hi I have one question. What is better? McAfee Site Advisor or AVG link scanner. Both of them is free.

I don't rate either of them:
SiteAdvisor has some site information that is so far out of date as to be useless.
AVG link scanner, for me just slowed things too much (I'm on dial-up), so not practical for me.

I too use WOT firefox add-on, whilst this is much faster, it shouldn't be used as gospel as at times sites that I consider to be good are flagged as bad and vice versa. This is the problem with community based reporting (some people haven't got a clue), so it is guidance only for me.
Windows 10 Home 64bit/ Acer Aspire F15/ Intel Core i5 7200U 2.5GHz, 8GB DDR4 memory, 256GB SSD, 1TB HDD/ avast! free 24.3.6108 (build 24.3.8975.762) UI 1.0.801/ Firefox, uBlock Origin, uMatrix/ MailWasher Pro/ Avast! Mobile Security

WOT + Browser Defender + Finjan is better than both of all you said. I also deleted McAfee Site Advisor in my favorite as its a junk and report me only good site like bad...

None. Avasts' webshield, in conjunction with other protection, is adequate.
I've never got an infection from visiting (or trying to visit) sites even when they have been reported as hosting malware.

As DavidR said, community based input without apparent oversight is pretty much a WOT
Windows 10,Windows Firewall,Firefox w/Adblock.

Hello all,

I vote for WOT. It doesn't completely depend on user ratings but also panda ratings + hphosts ratings. so it works for me.

thanks

I use Browser Defender™ Website Safety Lookup as it works on Win7 and XP Pro.

I used to use WOT but not since Panda joined with them.

I used to use Finjan SecureBrowsing but I could not get it to work on Win7.

Do you mean the Web Security Guard in Spyware Terminator?
If yes I think that it is also said the be a spyware itself but spywareTerminator is a good program only the web Security guard is not good!
