Another Firefox Tweak
COMPRESS FIREFOX To compress Firefox you will need an executable packer. I suggest you download Upxfrontend. The file contains the open source packer UPX(Ultimate Packer for eXecutables) and a nifty GUI that takes the dirty work out of using the program(No command line).
After installing UpxFrontend, run the program. You will see two buttons that allows you to add either a file or entire folder to the compression list. press the button to add a folder, and find the location where installed Mozilla Firefox. By default it should be "C:Program FilesMozilla Firefox".
Under Options, you will see controls for compression ratio, overlay, exports, etc. Set the Compression ratio to best and check the box next to Make Backups, just in case you find something not working properly afterwards.. Click Start Compression and let UpxFrontend do it's thing.

The Firefox.exe alone went from being a hefty 7.3 MB, to a somewhat slim 3.1 MB. From my experiences, a compressed Firefox has a faster start up, and shorter pause when loading pages.
