Quick scan error

AVAST 4.  XP.  When I initiate a quick scan sometimes I see: "initializing engine, please wait", number of tested files is zero. After that a new small window:error message, "can not find path-, search-way" (my translation from swedish).
Where is the problem? The files are often .mp3 or .avi but most of those seems to be scanned all right.

can you post here whole names of these files? Maybe is problem with their names - if name contains some non-standard characters (in most cases locale dependent) avast! may have problem with it...

I checked the file names. They were "Can't buy me love" instead of "CanĀ“t buy me love" which didn't make much difference to me, but it did to the computor.
