Avast version 4.8 home refuses to start at Boot Up
« on: January 05, 2010, 11:30:48 AM »
Hello

Suddenly, for some unknown reason, Avast refuses  to start automatically at boot up as witnessed  by a warning on the Avast logo in the toolbar

ashServ.exe is running in tasks but not in services ?!?! (this is what I am told when I look

When I boot it up in services, then Avast starts up in the toolbar and the warning sign disappears

What may have caused this and how can i correct it?

Thanks in advance

Dave Neve

try repair

For a repair of avast. Windows, Add Remove programs, select 'avast! Anti-Virus,' click the Change/Remove button from the pop-up window, scroll down to Repair, click next and follow.
