I would not use anything from Symantec on my system.   ::)

I trust avast! and Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware (MBAM).

1) Remove NAV or Norton 360 through Add/Remove programs from Control Panel. Boot.
2) Use Norton Removal Tool for Windows 2000/XP/Vista or Norton Removal Tool for Windows 98/Me. Boot.
3) Install avast! (or repair the installation) and boot.

The Norton Removal Tool uninstalls all Norton 2008/2007/2006/2005/2004/2003 products and Norton 360 from your computer.

well i'm using NAV 2010 until avast 5 is released and guys i have to admit that NAV 2010 is really good...i was always an antii-symantec but this product is really good...its light and seems effective..of course you have to pay...i will install avast 5 anyway..the difference between avast and nav is that avast is good and you can get it for free while for nav you have to pay and pay and pay again from buying a license to getting good support...i dont know if it deserves the money it costs,i would stick with avast coz it has solid protection for free..but to be honest as product is good...didnt expect it from symantec but it happened..

Many of the problems with NAV happen after you decide to get rid of it ;D

The forums are littered with the conflicts that remnants of NAV even after an uninstall cause to other security applications.
Windows 10 Home 64bit/ Acer Aspire F15/ Intel Core i5 7200U 2.5GHz, 8GB DDR4 memory, 256GB SSD, 1TB HDD/ avast! free 24.3.6108 (build 24.3.8975.762) UI 1.0.801/ Firefox, uBlock Origin, uMatrix/ MailWasher Pro/ Avast! Mobile Security
