where to send infected file
« on: January 09, 2010, 02:48:02 PM »
I just found a mass emailer on my computer. It seems to be located in (win2k sp4)
winnnt\system32\drivers\ffkeb.sys  (746kb)
avast found it as suspicious , but skips it in a boot scan. none of my malware scanners found it either.. the avast program says to send it, but i cant from the infected pc, as i had to unplug the ethernet (100% utuilization).
where can i send the file? has anyone else heard of it? google show nothing

How can I submit a new virus to avast ?
http://support.avast.com/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&kbarticleid=199&nav=0,1

Also upload to Virustotal www.virustotal.com
when you have the result, copy the URL in the adressbar and post it here

Have you tried Malwarebytes?

MBAM http://filehippo.com/download_malwarebytes_anti_malware/
update and run quick scan, click the button "remove selected" to quarantine anything found, and restart
