automatic update (every 240mins) wakes PC from sleep?
« on: October 11, 2010, 12:17:54 PM »
Hi,
I suspect Avast 5 is waking my computer from sleep to update itself.  Is it possible to only let it update while it's on?
I use Windows 7.

Thank you!

I don't think avast! has such a feature.

no it doesn't of course, and fortunately :D ... but it does have a wake up from sleep mode feature for scheduled scans, that never worked here (w7/64), even when allowing it from Windows power management options.

Thanks a lot for the links, but I already tried them and other things. :)  The powercfg command doesn't list any hardware.  I also disabled wake-ability from all devices in the device manager.

P.S.:
I guess it may be the wireless keyboard then and I'll try to install it's drivers again.
(The wake problem was gone for a short while.)
