Strange messages today...
« on: June 18, 2004, 05:12:51 PM »
- First I get a "avast news" popup from the tray
- When I click it the latest news is from april 2004
- When I close the news is says "avast need a reboot"

What is this?  I have not been asked if I want an update.
And there has been no installation dialog.
And why a news alert when there as no news at all?

The home version.

Find it a bit strange that the latest news is the one about .396 update, since the newest is the .418

Lars,

It is hard to tell what caused this peculiar behavior.
Are you using version 418 now?

If not, I would do a manual "program" update which will update both version and vps.

Yep, 4.18, no updates when I try. But the latest news entry is still the one 27.4.2004. Is there no newer news-entries?

Lars,

No, the latest news is the one you have announcing Avast Pro 396.

I guess you have things up to date.

Monitor the Avast.com site for a new update, then wait to see if the program updates.  Set the Updating to auto for both program and vps.
