[5.0.377] a GUI problem
« on: January 21, 2010, 02:29:46 PM »
Today I opened avast interface and this is what I was greeted with:

So I resized the window to fit the advertisement as well. So far so good. Next I clicked on "maintenance" button and then I clicked back to the summary screen. Surprisingly the window size popped back to its initial dimensions (as in the screenshot).

I'm using Vista Home Premium SP2 64bit.

Has anyone of you had such a peculiar "problem" ;)?

Yes the gui window does the odd funny resizing a nuience. Also noted a bug in manual virus or program update the progress bar does not respond at all, on the old version of avast at least there was a progress box popup!. But auto update works with voice telling me that virus database has been updated. Also what is the automatic update interval default setting, can it be altered?

Also what is the automatic update interval default setting, can it be altered?

At the top right of the main display, look for the "Settings" button.

Click on it.

Click on "Updates".

Click on "Details" in right pane.

Change Auto-update interval.

The default is 240 minutes. Note that if you change the value, it probably
won't take effect until after avast! has been restarted on the next boot.
That's been my experience.
