I've had this come up before, too. What you will need to do is e-mail Alwil (it seems their regular "info" address is no longer listed so try the "sales,") and ask for permission to burn a copy of the Avast setup file onto a CD. Explain the situation to them, they might say "yes."

As far as registering it once it's installed, I have my own idea on how to do it but include this question when writing to Alwil and they should be able to tell you how (in a way that's acceptable to them.)

It sounds like you're storing yourself up a whole heap of trouble. This version updates every 4 hours so unless someone is going to keep going round there and updating it manually (you?), there's not much point, is there?

Still, you've asked the question, but I think that it will be a great deal of hassle for you and for them.

Yes, He gets many movies from friends in his usb....

Yes, He gets many movies from friends in his usb....

They will need internet to update virus database. If not, then they will not be protected with last protection

Give Alwil a few hours to send it, although it might already be in your e-mail box. If not, try the registration process again.

I think for an offline computer, an antivirus with the latest definition is not very necessary because of the fact that there is no chance of getting infected with latest viruses evolving in the web. Computers which are not connected to the network are a lot safer. I think manually updating every week will suffice.
