not a surprise, I never thought differently. Linux devs must pay the rent and feed the kids too. The rest is a myth.

Then what are you and I doing here? We are working that myth isn't it? You think avast could play their role as they do without us? Other "big" av vendors only have bashers and very little volunteer supporters with their users, that is how David has slain Goliath. And what would Mozilla be with just their paid staff and no-one else.
The formula is there, the myth is still working. I would like to say: "No culture without volunteers, the Internet owes them a lot".
