Avast Internet Security 2010
« on: February 04, 2010, 05:13:53 AM »
After installing Avast IE on my Dell Inspiron 1520, under the Scan Computer/Scan Now displays the icons on the left only. There is no data to start any of the scans! The Avast Icon says I am secured but I can't perform any scans. Any info would be appreciated. I have already used the removal tool in Safe Mode, but problem persists.

This usually happens when you install the product, it asks you for a reboot and you don't reboot the system yet.
The names of the scans are created only when the avast service starts, which is usually after the first reboot.
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving's not for you.

A bit off topic but are you sure the name is Avast Internet Security 2010?  For the correct name is Avast Internet Security 5.0.  Where did you get it?  If it just a simple mistake, then, please ignore my post.
