On demand scan logs
« on: January 26, 2010, 08:22:50 PM »
If I right click a drive and choose to scan it(from the context menu) with Avast 5 where are these logs stored so I can view them?

Are you sure David?

The context menu logs ;) are found where all logs are:

'Scan Computer' --> 'Scan Logs'

See the image, I have just scanned a file via the context menu and the log is found there

Lol, yeah. After I right clicked the drive and scanned it popped up with a scan log anyway when it was completed.

Well, yes, no and maybe.
No because as far as I'm aware it isn't stored after the scan (as I don't have logging enabled plus that looks like a user set location).
Yes because I think without logging it is the only way to have the 'results' displayed.
Maybe as in I haven't enabled Generate report file for the 'Scan from Windows Explorer' if I did then maybe it would work ;D

So for those that just want to see a quick list like in 4.8 without enabling logging for that scan, this option is the least hassle at least for me.

As we can see it has had the desired 'result' (excuse the pun) ;D
