Why Avast 5 German less Sounds as the English Version?
« on: January 26, 2010, 11:30:37 AM »
Hello,

first, please excuse my bad English.
I have installed the Avast 5 (free) Version in English and installed the German language, but i have seen that the German Version don't have the same wave files  like the English Version (in German only 3 wave files, no female/male speaker) Its the same when i installed the German Version (not only the language file) Why have the German Version no speaker/less sounds? Would it be updated? Why is first only the installer only in french and English available, not also in German?? I think it would be better Avast 5 would be able to download when all the languages from the 4.8 installers are too available in Version 5. So its a mix (Commercial for Internet Security is in English-in the German Version!!!)

But what is with the sounds, are the all only in the English Version?? If this so, i go back to 4.8 and wait or choose an other av program, but i like avast, but only when no different between English and German Version!

if you're ready to ditch V5 just because the German version lacks a few sounds then be it  ;D ... another way would have been just to mention this extremely minor issue here and request a fix  ;)

Only English and French versions were officially released so far - others will follow in a few days.
Yes, the German sounds were not created yet - possibly in the future.
