Author Topic: Help! Updated ISO as of Jan 26, 2010 not working! "Registry Error" on boot.  (Read 7979 times)

Older versions are working fine, but when I try to update ISO it creates a bootable cd that comes up with a registry error! I have a system down and need the latest defs ASAP. The older, working version does not detect the virus. Please check into this. Is anyone else having this problem?

I have created the ISO on two separate machines, and every machine I try to boot to gives me this error.

I have the same issue. New CDs don't work. Old ones do on the same machine.

Todays CD generates the same error. Exact error message is:

Stop: c0000218 {Registry File Failure}
The registry cannot load the hive (file):
\SystemRoot\System32\Config\Software
or its log or alternate.
It is corrupt, absent, or not writeable.
