Avast 5 freeze list (for COOL people only)!
« on: January 29, 2010, 12:49:11 AM »
Dear Forum,

List the situations in this thread when Avast 5 freezes to help the developers find it in one place.

- Automatic update
- Manual update ('update programme' and 'update engine and virus definitions'
- Random freezes when Firefox is open
- MBAM running in the background as well

I think that the devs prefer the problems in separate places.  They're making progress, so let's wait for the next release.

People, if you're going to report crashes / freezes / odd behaviour, please specify the program build number in your posts.

Be sure to try the new .396 build at http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=54581.0;topicseen that consolidates the efforts so far in this area.

You can't possibly help all people or garter information in the same topic, you have been around here long enough to see the confusion reign when multiple jump on to another persons topic is hijacked.

Yep MBAM Protection Module running and Avast 5 has a conflict that makes freeze to computer in c 5.0.377.

Tried it in 2 computer running Avast 5 V5.0.377.

Its confirmed to me the it has a conflict of them.

I just un-install MBAM Pro and it works 100% fine.

But i dunno about the new Pre release 5.0.396 if its been fixed about this issue.
