I know this may offend a lot of people who may be looking for work as translators, but has Avast considered using the EXCELLENT Google translate facility?

I have been corresponding with various people overseas using this free facility (mainly to France) and have yet to come across anybody who has criticised my French. Most think that I must have lived in France for years (have visited Paris for 2 days) and that I speak fluent French.

I dtiudied French for 7 years at School 40 years ago and hardly ever read or dpeak it. I rely on the translator completely and am amazed at the translations it performs from English to French (and vice-versa). I am sure that must apply for other languages.

I have nothing to do with Google or any of its services, I just thought you might like to investigate this possibility.

Google translate has opened the Chinese world for me and then you thank the angels they have come up with Google translate, how else would a non-native work Baidu?(have the specific dll-s in Windows to give me Chinese symbols). And all over the world you find Chinese - in Indonesia, in Malay, the Philippines, and many, many countries in Asia and the rest of our beautiful planet. And if you do not have access to the original language, you do not have access to that world and that culture.
If I had not acquired a bit later in life a fair command of the Polish language I would never had access to the culture of the land of my dear wife. And every language you acquire is opening up a complete new world for you. But on the other hand we always will need native speakers, language specialists and analysts,

1. Google can't translate interface and help files (as is), just text.
2. The quality of the translation is far far behind the way avast interface is translated.

Btw, Google Translation is not what you want to go for. It's so buggy sometimes and the meaning of the sentence might lost etc.

Native Spanish speaker, I'm taking Cambridge DELFIC English courses to be able to take the Cambridge FCE, I'm already Cambridge DELFIC Certified; years using Avast! Home in many PCs, I'm a PC tech for a living.

Brilliant! I'm looking forward to it and I hope it'll be better than v4.

But how am I going to learn that the Dutch (or Italian or German or whatnot) version is available for download?
Particularly with the new website design - beautiful, by the way - I can no longer see if a Dutch language version is included in the universal installer or available as a separate download.

The Dutch translation is not yet available, probably in the next (few) releases. From that moment it'll be available as a separate download and included in the universal installer.

The Romanian localization is currently in progress and will hopefully be available in the very near future. Until then, you can continue to use v4.8 in Romanian, or upgrade to the new v5.0 in one of the currently available languages and then switch to Romanian when it also becomes available. Any news to Finnish translation? I think someone translate it just now.
