is avast running?

okay my task manager says no but avast says yes look. all it says that is running is the avast ui but avast says its running help me? here is a screenshot

Hi kadenk,

First off, screenshot is nice but a bit more information is required... Hardware, software running etc.

But at a rough guess, you're running vista or win 7.

Looking at task manager, it's only showing your processes. At the bottom of the screen in Task manager, there should be a button that says 'Show processes from all users'.

Then under the SYSTEM (user) it should say something like 'AvastSvc.exe *32'.

That will confirm it's running.
