Scan file not working?

Hey, I just installed Avast 5 and when I right click a file and choose scan, nothing happens that I can tell.  I've used Avast before and I know there is usually a window that pops up real quick, but I don't get that feedback with Avast 5.  Is that normal?

It's working now.  I had just installed Avast 5 with the admin user.  I logged off and logged on with a standard user and it worked.  I then logged back in with the admin user and it worked there as well.  Maybe it's a bug.

I've found there seem to be a few settings that if changed require a reboot before they come into effect. I've make a point now of doing a reboot if I change any of the settings, and since that doesn't happen very often it's not a problem.
