removing microsoft security essentials completely and installing Avast 5.0 free

Does anyone know the proper way to do that?  use Revo Uninstaller?  or does MSE have it's own uninstall program?   I Dj in second life and this one is making the hard drive light run so much, lagging terribly in Second Life, while Djing...

If i was to install Avast 5.0 Free on this Vista PC, could i exclude my Djing url, and it would work fine, or what is the ideal settings in terms of webshield so i can Dj without lag in Second life Game, and enjoy it.

I know to use Silent Game Mode, but anything else would be helpful also

The proper way would be using add remove programs as the first port of call and if necessary a cleaner.

Looks like i got it all, cleaner program found nothing(cccleaner), Avast 5.0.396 installed, so should be fine, just will configure properly for my DJ stream later, guess try excluding in Web shield and network shield the url for the stream, and that should work just fine i'd imagine

Some streams might not fully conform to the HTTP protocol which the web shield expects.

Excluding the stream url in the web shield should hopefully be enough, to ensure you retain protection across the wider web. The network shield shouldn't have that effect and there are no customizations for the network shield.
