Behaviour shield problem with PDF printer
« on: February 01, 2010, 04:24:47 AM »
I use PdfFactory Pro as a PDF printer. Whilst there appears to be no problem printing from normal web pages to PDFFactory Pro from IE7 with the Behaviour shield turned on, when it is used to print statements from a secure (padlock showing) bank site it slows down to the point where it is unusable (a page that would print normally within a second or so, is only 10% completed after 4 minutes). There is also a huge delay when attempting to save the PDF file. Neither of these delays occur with the behaviour shield turned off.

I have used this PDF printer for ages, and never experienced this problem with Avast 4.8.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Additional Info - Avast 5.0.396. XP SP3, all current updates.
Behaviour shield stats do not show any files scanned during the period where this occurs.
Problem does not occur when using Firefox 3.5.7, only when using IE7

Seems no one else has this particular problem, although there are reports of problems with opening PDF files in browsers using Adobe reader.

I don't have Adobe reader on this PC. I use Pdf-Xchange viewer.
