Win32:DNSChanger-VJ Infection.

Ok What happened is when my dad logged into his profile, a window error report pops up with the whole send and don't send thing and then avast detects this "Win32:DNSChanger-VJ "

The windows error message popped up and I hit don't send that's when avast was warning, so I hit delete and it did it again, so after a few times of doing that it stopped    

There are no other symptoms.  Like fire fox id ok all the programs are ok ATM.

 The only security that appears to be on this computer is Avast !? IF true,
 and especially under the current circumstances, it would be wise to
 "complement" Avast with programs like Malwarebytes Anti-Malware
 ( www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php ) and "SUPERAntiSpyware"
 ( www.superantispyware.com ) , BOTH of which come in a FREE Version .
 After installation, then "Updating" the program(s), you would run their "Full"
 Scan(s) to see IF they "confirm" the Avast "Detection" !?

 There also appear to be no 3rd party firewall, which would be wise since I
 have heard the Windows One provides no "Outbound" protection IF a
 malware were to get on the computer .

 Are you aware that the undesirable "Ask.com" program is on this computer ?

 Edit : Does this computer use a Router ? IF Yes, which One ?

 The Malwarebytes Scan shows you have a very bad TDSS Rootkit ; you should
 follow the advice of "Malware Removal Specialist" "essexboy" in what he says at
 http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=53253.0 . Rerun the Malwarebytes
 scan, then :

 "Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.

When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart.(See Extra Note)
The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
Copy&Paste the entire report in your next reply.
If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove,you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts,click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process,if asked to restart the computer,please do so immediately.
